                                                 JUST ONE MINISTRIES

So, just what is JUST ONE MINISTRIES?  The power of ONE.  What's the big deal about "one?"  After all, in our society today, one doesn't get you very far.  One cent, one dollar, add one, multiply by one, one person, one thing, one whatever.  We tend to discount "one" to the point of obscurity.  But the truth is, one can do almost anything.  One life changed the world forever.  One man, intent on a single purpose, turned the world up-side-down, accomplishing a mission that was truly Heaven Sent.  Of course, we're referring to Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD.  There are many examples of the power of one beyond the life of Jesus and many directly from the life of the Savior.  Our mission is to help others see their GOD given significance and the impact they can make simply by doing something for just one.

Over the years I've worked for companies that have sent out memos and emails requesting input on "just three" ideas that would help the company grow, whether financially or market share or grow their ranks.  And all too often, no matter how much begging, threatening, or gentle reminders, the responses were generally weak.  People simply didn't respond to the memos at all.  So I asked some of my fellow colleagues why they weren't giving the management any of their ideas.  I knew from experience that they all had ideas.  They grumbled and complained constantly about the way things were being done and if management would only listen to their ideas they could make things better.  So why not just give them their ideas like they asked?  By far the most common answer was that "I just couldn't think of three things (three people, three improvements, three whatevers).  I don't want to look stupid by only giving one idea.  They asked for three.  It's just best that I don't turn it in at all."  Honest, that's the answer I got time and time again.  That's when I came up with Just One Ministries.  Every single person I talked to had at least one idea.  Every single one.  But that wasn't the assignment.  The assignment was three.  So the response was zero.  I suggested a strategy change to one company.  The next time they sent out one of those "give us your ideas" memos, only ask for one idea and see if that makes a difference.  And a wonderful thing happened.  They got feedback.  Granted, not everyone responded, but the response rate rose 68% the very first time they tried it.  And then something else, somewhat unexpected happened.  Over a period of days, the ones that had responded, responded again.  They gave more ideas and elaborated on the ones they already gave.  Once they got started, then things just seemed to come to them.  Some actually got excited about their ideas and sharing them.

Yeshua commissioned us to "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations..."  (Matthew 28:19 HCSB)  That's pretty much a whole lot more than three and that's pretty intimidating!  But what if we talked to just one person?  Concentrated our efforts, focusing our hearts and prayers on just that one person?  The key is that you've started.  There are so many quotes out there about "just one".  One of the most famous is:  "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."  (Lao-tzu, The Way of Lao-tzu Chinese philosopher (604 BC - 531 BC))  If we will only begin, engaging just one soul, YHWH will give the increase.  How many times have you (I) said, "I could never do that?"  And you know what, you're probably very right.  But YHWH can.  I can not engage the world.  I can not make disciples of every soul on earth.  I can not change the world.  I can not save the world.  But I can engage one.  I can make every effort to make a disciple of one.  I can be an instrument for change and salvation for one.  And YHWH can and will do the rest.  He promised.  And He is faithful.  And I'm willing to go out on a limb here and say that once you've committed to reaching out to just one, your heart will skip a beat and you'll soon be reaching out to another.  And the one you reached out to with YHWH's love will soon be reaching out to just one.  And then their one will reach out, and their one will reach out, and their one...  And before you know know it you've gone out and made disciples of the whole world, one soul at a time.

Think of it this way.  All of life, from the creation of the world to the end of it, is one gigantic mosaic forming a single perfect picture.  And only GOD can see the finished product.  In fact, He saw it before He spoke the first Word of creation.  Each one of us, from Adam to the last person at the end of time, represents a single piece of that larger mosaic.  But within each of our lives there are many individual pieces that make up who we are and how we fit into the overall picture.  These pieces are made up of those we associate with, our feelings and emotions, our actions and reactions.  So, in effect, there is really a picture within a picture within a picture...  We each touch and are touched by those around us and that affects the picture we become and the one they become.  Our picture is never complete until we draw our last breath.  Someone or something new is always being introduced into our mosaic.  Every breath brings new life and meaning to the picture of our life.  And even when we have died and gone on, even then our picture lives on in those whose lives we touched.  We are truly making an impact, one way or another, every single day of our lives.  Our prayer is that we are making an impact for good, and for GOD

We want to help others in an immediate, dynamic and positive way.  How?  We want to provide you with real solutions to at least some of the many challenges that arise daily just by waking up and facing another day.  Believe it or not, each day GOD wants to bless you, to provide that day's needs, and to let you know that He is real, that He is in control and that He loves and cares for you.

WHAT WOULD (DID) JESUS DO?
CHANGE THE WORLD - ONE SOUL AT A TIME

Of course, we would be somewhat lax as a ministry and as disciples of Christ, if we didn't take this opportunity to introduce you to our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.  As we aluded to above, GOD is the creator of ALL things, seen and unseen.  But we believe in the Holy Trinity, GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit.  And all three had a part in creating the heavens and the earth.

But by far the most amazing fact about Jehovah is His intimate relational love He feels for His creation, namely all human life from the beginning of time.  He loves us all so much that GOD the Son gave up His throne in heaven, came to earth as one of His Own created, lived among us as one of us in all ways (save that He did not commit one sin, not one), sacrificed His human life on a cross for His created, rose from the dead, walked among us a while longer, then returned to heaven to reign in glory with GOD the Father.

Such is the love of GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Spirit.  Yeshua, the Messiah, loved every man, woman, and child enough to leave His rightful throne of glory, become GOD in the flesh, suffer as we suffer, and die as we die (though I doubt any of us today will ever have to experience the cruelty of death on a cross), all to reconcile His lost creation back to Himself.

Make no mistake, this free gift of His blood is for EVERY human being from Adam to the last person at the end of time.  EVERY SINGLE ONE.  There are only two requirements for receiving this gift.  Repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus Christ.  That's it.  Nothing more.

Cool, huh?!  Saved by grace through faith.  Simple.  Really, it's every bit as simple as Satan's plan for the Fall.  A single, simple act of disobedience separated us from our Creator.  A single, simple act of faith will restore us to fellowship with Him.

SO, BRING ON THE HELP ALREADY!

So that's the "preachy" part of Just One Ministries.  I know many of you may be asking, "So, where's the 'help' part?  What can you do for me today?  I need real help!"  Good news!  Although every single word that preceded these is real help, we can offer tangible "help" for the immediate problems at hand.  Some of our resources are things some people think about almost every minute of every day because the problem is creating such pain in their lives, they cannot escape it.  Other resources are things some (all right, most) people don't think about at all.  Never even occurs to them that these things are problems.

I promise you the number one resource page that will be visited is our financial page.  Finances are the number one source of stress in our world today, bar none.  On the Financial Help page you'll find budgeting assistance, help for credit scores, identity theft, and ways to help make your money grow.  There are ideas to help you save money for college and investing for the future.

We have a Family Help page where you can explore book and homeschool resources, internet filter and monitoring technology, Bible resources for audio and reading, resources for engaging our youth in pursuit of Christ, and even a way to monitor your vehicle for your own safety.

And we have the Entertainment Help page, which is the area I was referring to as most people not even seeing the need, where we offer quality, family movie alternatives and gadgets, TV and internet usage monitoring and control gadgets, and alternate sources for television programming.
